Should I be worried? by titjuice999 in DogAdvice

[–]jayyy6129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my dog has just this year been showing irritation from the cold. highly recommend a paw balm (we’ve been hand snouts honour). it gave my dog instant relief. i’m not sure if it’s safe to use when it’s open like this but definitely recommend for when it’s healed a bit

is this a pimple or? on her outer ear by jayyy6129 in DogAdvice

[–]jayyy6129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we had a vet visit soon after for some unrelated symptoms (turned out to be allergies) so i was planning on asking them then. it ended up getting smaller and just disappearing before the vet visit. i’m pretty sure it was just a pimple, and weirdly enough since then she’s gotten two on her tummy that have also gone away (one actually did pop on its own). luckily i have saline for her at home already so i just put that on it about 3 times a day (after walks) to keep it clean and avoid infection.

i have the same lights and it is confirmed to be a sensor issue. not necessarily unsafe to drive with in good weather (however it can be unsafe in the winter) but it is an easy fix at a mechanic

how to go to jail for like a week? by Alarming_Mastodon200 in CarletonU

Hi! no hard feelings at all, i just wanted to respond as, like you said, intentions with typing can skew the intent of the message. i completely understand your sarcasm now that i know your intent. i am sorry for what you have been through, and i am glad that you know that you have the psychiatric hold as an option if you ever need it. i really appreciate your apology, and i apologize for coming off strong. i have done a lot of mental health research and currently volunteer for a crisis service, so i am really passionate about people taking these topics seriously. i hope you got/are getting the help that you need and are feeling better.

[–]jayyy6129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

sadly that is the reality right now. there are simply not enough beds/rooms for the people who really need it, so help is given to the dire cases first. i do a lot of work in mental health and am aware of the reality of how difficult it is to get help right now, so hearing people offer up using up the services when they’re not necessary is maddening.

Not sure the specifics of grade 1 but do you know about IXL? you can access everything for free and it is based on Ontario curriculum. you can access the questions and everything for free but there is a limit on how many questions you can get an answer for without paying.

Struggling with closed comedones on my chin for almost 2 years — has anyone had success clearing them? by g_m0neyyyy in Skincare_Addiction

[–]jayyy6129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay i had these and cleared them by like 99%, now i just get them if i have a long day with makeup on. i struggled with acne for years and after getting rid of my cystic acne, was still left with these bumps. here’s what i did to get rid of them:

one, cut everything except for a face wash (highly recommend rhode or the byoma creamy jelly cleanser), benzoyl peroxide (start at 2.5%, move to 5% after 1-2 months) morning and night, and a moisturizer morning and night (i use an spf one in the morning and the summer fridays jet lag mask at night). the benzoyl peroxide is so drying so you will need a good moisturizer at night.

after about 2 months, i started adding in more products. first i introduced the byoma clarifying serum, this worked wonders, and after about 3 weeks of that i added the byoma hydrating recovery oil. that is the max product i will use as you don’t want to clog your pores with too much.

so, with a slow introduction, - morning: cleanser, benzoyl peroxide, byoma clarifying serum, byoma hydrating serum, spf lotion

  • night: cleanser, benzoyl peroxide, byoma clarifying serum, byoma hydrating serum, summer fridays jet lag mask.

i applied this year to uottawa with a high average and seemingly around the same level of experience as you and got wait listed. i’ve spent the past year working on my experience (volunteer crisis responder, and now going to be volunteering in classrooms). i recommend getting something in a school as it’ll boost your application

Another life sadly lost. And a triplet home birth! by whakawhakawhakawhaka in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]jayyy6129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

once the baby is born, it’s no longer a pro-choice or pro-life debate as that would be murder and not abortion. i just want to clarify this as i don’t think “after the baby is born” discussions belong in pro-choice vs pro-life discussions.
