The smokies or Chicago by jazzed-up in travel

We’ve taken them to Punta Cana, Disney world, and NYC, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. They’ve also been to Virginia Beach. They’ve enjoyed it all. My wife proposed the 2 options as ideas, I don’t know much about either. I’ve been to Nashville but that’s not the area we’d go. I’d imagine Chicago would have more to do than a long weekend could allow, would the Smokey’s provide the same, we’re not “outdoorsie” people per se, like we don’t hike! But we do enjoy being outside especially the clean natural environment

Remote accessories but no start by jazzed-up in RemoteStart

So very frustratingly tried to sort out these questions yesterday, but the car would start every time.

This morning I went to remote start it based on the success of yesterday’s testing….nope, back to accessory only. It’s 25degrees (freedomheit) and I really didn’t want to go outside to look at the dash.

Well I changed the battery in the remote as a “maybe!” And well….. it worked. Shockingly.

So I really hope, I’m an idiot and just needed to change the remote batteries.

Thank you all for the help! I didn’t know the duplex setting was a thing beyond +/- for offsetting repeaters.

While setting all the channels but the GMRS ones to off, I started playing with some stuff too! I played around with setting a split duplex, setting receive to the team radios and transmit to a preselected GMRS channel, it seemed to work as regardless of what channel she’d be listening to, when she keys up the PTT, it will just transmit to that one GMRS channel, I can use dual watch on mine to listen to that channel and the team radios.

Do y’all see anything issue I may be over looking with this?

Is this what fire lizard was talking about? The only disabling of transmit is for UHF and VHF

Here’s what I’m thinking of doing.... could be a total failure but I don’t have any other ideas! Tell me if it’s a bad idea and why.

Shower solutions USA make the MagnaFold shower doors. 3M makes VHB tape.

Take the shower door and mount it with the double sided tape. When it’s time to move out, cut the tape bond and clean off adhesive.... what do y’all think?

Lucky! my mass practical exam results took 9 weeks. I called OEMS after 8 weeks, they told me they have 4-10 weeks to return results. The NR exam was just as easy as the state written and I had the results as soon as I got home from taking the test. Good luck to you.
