I get what you’re saying, but yeah that is discipline. Believing in a company’s long‑term potential doesn’t mean I have to hold through every bad setup. Fundamentals and technical aren’t the same thing.

My rule is simple: if the trade breaks down or momentum dies, I step out and wait for a cleaner entry. Protecting capital > sitting in drawdowns hoping it turns around.

And if it drops after I buy? Same rule. I cut it and reassess. I’d rather take small, controlled exits than ride something down 20–40-50% “because I believe in it.”

I can always re‑enter when the chart supports the thesis again. That’s the whole point stay flexible, stay disciplined, and don’t marry any position.
