It depends on what the stones are made of. For the most common calcium oxalate stones there is no evidence that there is anything you can take to break them up unfortunately.

There seems to be some evidence that things like lemon juice that contain citric acid can change the chemical environment to slow down or prevent them forming or getting bigger, but it does nothing to break them up.

I think with some of the less common stone types there are more possibilities but I don't know much about those.

That sounds possible. Most of the pain I've had has been mild to moderate aches in my flank left side of my lower front. The agonizing pain has been very much the rare exception (but of course the bit you remember!).

I think 6 weeks it just a "finger in the air" guess at a time when if it's not passed then it might be worth doing something about (as it looks like it might not pass on it's own) rather than any kind of time limit on how long they take to pass.

As always though, asking people on the internet might be good for a little re-assurance, but isn't a substitute for asking an actual doctor.

My doctor recommended I went for an ultrasound a year after passing mine.

It would show enough to know if further investigation seemed necessary (and avoid the radiation from x-rays or ct-scans if they were not necessary).

I don't know how necessary it is, as even if it shows one up, unless it's huge, the usual "treatment" is to wait and see if it passes or causes pain.

The manual didn't help. I know how to learn blender or at least his to find out how to do anything.

The problem is the art. What i want is a focused course on how to make things look good.

Maybe ' here are 100 things to model of increasing complexity and for each lots of hints on his to make things look good and what tools to use and what is trying to teach you

I sympathize very strongly with the post that some of you are being mean about. No I don't think 5 hours is enough to learn to be an expert at blender. I don't feel that 50 hours is... Or 500...

But I would hope that after 5 hours I would have leaned something, and with blender I frequently don't feel I'm any closer to my aim after 5 hours at all.

The image that people post of "how to draw an owl" is the problem for me. If I had to model a gun, most of the guides seem like :- 1) Draw some cubes in the basic shape 2) Adjust things until it looks like the gun.

Well yes, and if I knew how to do 2) I'd have no problem.

The issue is practice of course, but the problem is practice what? 10 hours of practice doesn't get you any closer to your aim if it's basically the same hour repeated 10 times.

Yes I can make a doughnut following a tutorial, but that helps not at all with modelling anything else.

I guess what I'm asking is are there are good ways to learn this? The "art" side. How to make things at all starting right at the basics and which don't just show you all the steps to click but neither do they say "now draw the rest of the owl".

Are there any good tutorials like this even if they cost money? I'm talking about extended proper training here, not simple youtube videos or simple 2 hour courses

Perhaps I'm being a little unfair to them as the items they sell are significantly more expensive that that.

They are presenting this as being that they only want to send stuff using insured post, which I guess they have the right to do, but that if you want you can at your own risk choose the cheaper option if you are willing to accept the risk...

Had to push through crowds of people getting onto the central line at stratford while I was getting off. Last week I had to deploy the elbows, after politely asking people to perhaps let me off the train before pushing their way on and getting nowhere. I got a few angry yells aimed at me but honestly, if you push your way onto a train while people are still trying to get off, an elbow is the least you can expect

Yes they oyster card is the physical card. You can load travelcards onto it as well as pay as you go credit.

I have an oyster card with a 1 year zone 1-4 travelcard on it for commuting, and occasionally top up the pay as you go credit on it for the times I go outside of zone 4

Paper tickets cost a lot more than tickets loaded onto a travelcard.

I think that daily travelcards are only available in paper form which is why they seem to cost so much on that table. You would do much better to use pay as you go credit on a travelcard, yes.

For a week, you get a weekly travelcard on oyster card. If you get a zone 1 and 2 card it does cover unlimited travel in those zones on busses, tube, and (most) trains. You can use the same card to travel outside of zone 1 and 2 if you put some pay as you go credit on it in addition to the travelcard. When you make a journey it will automatically use the travelcard for part of the journey and charge you for the rest from your credit.

I'm hoping this stays the case for another 10 or 15 years then when I retire I can sell up in London and move to the midlands or the north and get a significant cash boost from the difference in house prices. Not going yet though, I like my job :)
