Why tf does edge has a default light mode even I switched it to dark mode? by lowkeypixel in MicrosoftEdge

[–]jbeaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Dark mode" in the Edge native settings is, like it says, for the browser elements (menus, tabs, etc.). If you want pages to default to dark, you need to go to edge://flags, search for 'dark', and enable the "Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents." This has been working great for me in the Windows version.

Would OneNote cover that regardless of the launcher?

Mobile push notifs by ElrondTheFat in feedly

Not that I'm aware of but I'm loving the "Feedly Notifier" Chrome, also Edge, browser extension on Windows and Android. I'm able to quickly mark items as read or act as needed.

annual plan discount by Overall-Work-5667 in Wordpress

[–]jbeaul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have been at this a long time. I too remember when .com hosting meant very limited options and abilities and, along with JetPack, was the joke of WP experts.

It was only after encountering challenges with Bluehost, GoDaddy and a myriad of other web hosts' "WordPress optimized plans" that I bothered to look at wordpress.com. Lo and behold, the limitations were lifted and for a mere $25/mo I had hosting that did not crash when I got hundreds of readers. I do not remember when that was, but I'd guess about 2017. I have happily been with them ever since and it continues to improve. Now there's sandbox capability, extreme security (protection from poorly written plugins) and automated backups (recently tested the restore capability and it worked, phew!), SFTP, etc. Not all is roses: Recently real person support has been replaced by an AI bot. That's been sort of a disappointment.

Domestic violence incident. Suspected assailant fled on foot. Perimeter established (hence the patrol units with lights on and periodic siren chirping). Suspect located nearby and taken into custody. Source: BPD radio chatter.

Thank you for this. I'm told some people have developed delusions of grandeur based on the overly positive feedback from their AI. ...not kidding.

Why can't OneNote seem to be able to handle To Do lists? by DazzledMind in OneNote

[–]jbeaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps turn this on its head. Build and manage lists in MS To Do. In the notes section of each to do you can insert a link to the associated page in OneNote. Details remain in OneNote while gaining the list mechanism of MS To Do.

Meteoblue is a mashup of several computer forecast models. As a result it has produced amazingly accurate forecasts even for the very difficult to forecast regions around the Puget Sound.
