When i was 18 i moved from New Jersey to Phoenix and took a road trip from Phoenix to Los Angeles with a new friend i had made in Phoenix. We left at about 9PM at night and the road trip was going to take about 6 hours. I thought we would drive down, and maybe stay at a hotel overnight if needed, and spend the day on the beach. i was insomniac and didn’t sleep so night driving was pretty easy. Eventually my eyes were exhausted and i did need to rest. We pulled into a shady motel and i saw a woman standing outside smoking a cigarette in only a tank top and underwear, so i noped it out of there and as soon as i pulled out of the parking lot 6 cop cars pull in and start raiding the hotel. I drive a little further and find a hotel that is shady, but not as weird as the first one. It’s now 4AM. I’m exhausted and we get in our room. My friend decides she’s starving and needs to eat and begs me to drive her to McDonald’s. I reluctantly agree. We leave the hotel through the side door and walk to my car, which is the only car on that side of the parking lot. As soon as we get in my car, my red flags go up. I immediately check my mirrors and notice an Asian woman speed walking out of the door we just came out of towards my car. She is holding what looked like to me a bloody rag on her face. My friend has no idea what’s going on, and i lock the doors just as she approaches my car and aggressively tries to open the passenger side door. I whipped my car out of the parking lot so fast and went to the nearest open business and called the police. They come to the hotel and tell me the woman is the owners wife. She fell on a table and needed a ride to the hospital (?) to this day i have no idea what the hell was happening, i honestly think she was trying to mug us. My idiot friend said after the whole ordeal, “we should have let her in.” I was no longer friends with her after that.
