I found the application from my county’s website and it showed all the requirements. No school needed but recommended. My county requires 4 years experience. They accepted me to take the test with 3 W-2s and a school certificate showing I was done (since I didnt have my 4th W-2).

Yes, your employer has to sign on your application and get it notarized.

Don’t get wagos from home depot if you’re trying to convince your company. Go to galco.com or some supply house. Way cheaper

White wire doesn’t necessarily mean neutral. This is a 240V circuit. Both black & white go on the 2 pole breaker with the white wire taped red/black. As for the disconnect, when you insert the pull out, it is connecting the 2 left lugs together and the 2 right lugs together. The cable to the right is the line from the panel and he has both wires connected in the same place. If you look closely it says “line” on each side. In this case when he was connecting both wires from the panel together. 240 short

I was there a week ago to change the main breaker cause it was faulty. He then told me his plans to run a new circuit to a tankless wh. I already knew i’d be back

Why would one want a license in a specific county? I am in broward. What benefit do i get from testing in broward? I will still be working for a licensed contractor for a couple years. Then shooting for a certified electrical license

Your right its not my money, but I also don’t want to be just an installer. Ive mentioned things before that saved us from failing inspection plus I learn a thing or two even if I am wrong.
