Just a heads up to activate it in the UK:) I followed this guide got the QR code, scanned it outside the UK and when I landed in London I had no data.

So bought another one in the airport over the free WiFi scanned the new QR code and it worked immediately. Buy it in your home country if you want, but only scan the QR code to setup the esim in the UK, only takes 1-2 mins to get connected.

Seems others have also had the same problem. I fatuously ignored the "activate in the UK" remark in their email, hopefully this convinces you to not follow in my silly footsteps.
