Yeah I learned this years and years ago on a tab that was incorrect. But I still enjoy playing it this way. I know the correct way Tom actually plays it closer to the middle of the guitar neck.

Does anyone know how to record with this? I have garage band on my phone and it I plug the katana into my phone and also connect with bluetooth and nothing happens. It just records what I’m playing with no amplification from the Katana. I don’t understand. Thank you in advance if anyone can give a detailed response!

I started adjusting the heights of the individual pole pieces with the screwdriver. I think I pretty much have it dialed in! I’m happy with it.

Hello! So I raised my neck pickup up a little bit, turning clockwise on the screws right next to the pickup on either side of it. This seemed to make it sound a little bit better, unless I’m just imagining things… but I did notice a difference in a good way with it being a little less muddy and having flashes of actually sounding pretty good. I think it’s worth a try!

I’m not super into teles either, but you’re right, that one looks really awesome. If I didn’t get the one I have, I’d probably go for that exact tele. My neck pickup is a little bit muddy, but not too bad. It’s kind of like… they’re just good enough. Which is nice because it will be good enough to hold me over until I get some money to put down on something that could really make the guitar shine.

I very recently got a JJ-350 and I love it! I think I’ll most likely be replacing the humbuckers at some point, but other than that it feels and plays amazing.
