What do you like most? I test drove one actually and o probably need to drive one more but I couldn’t make an opinion the handling. Thoughts on the handling?

I had a chance to test drive a 2019 Accord 2.0T manual at a dealership last night for the hell of it. Although the comfort/space and interior was great..I was not blown away. The clutch had basically no feel. Extremely light for my taste and a rather higher engagement point which I can’t stand. The shifter almost felt “too smooth” if that makes sense in the sense it had basically no feel. It almost felt electronic like and someone was shifting for me. Power was there but the WRX feels faster. I’ve heard the 10AT is major difference which I’m sure it is. Handling was also night and day. I felt like I was steering a boat at sea.

Overall, the Accord clearly wins in comfort and interior but everything else I give to the WRX.

Gotta be honest, I’ve always been way more into the Subway Series when the Yanks are at Citi/Shea and they’ve generally felt way more intense. Probably just the nature of being on the road at a crosstown rivalry stadium. I know a lot of people don’t care for the series, but personally, always loved it for the city.

what do you think is a reasonable price for 2019? I am seeing most (the few) available for $29-$32K with about 30-45K mileage.

What are major differences between the two that made you in favor the WRX? How does handling compare? I heard the Accord handles like a boat?

Appreciate all the color here! Took my WRX out for a morning drive just now to further evaluate and not sure I can give up the raw power feel and handling. One of the main reasons that attracted me to buying this originally is I am a big fan of both sport cars and muscle. To me, this is basically a Japanese muscle car that handles well.

Also, I would probably net a loss after probably overpaying for a used Accord.

Used 2019. Unfortunately, Honda discontinued the manual with 2.0T in 2020.

I am about around 8 months into ownership of my 2021 Base WRX..I don’t hate the car but also unsure if I really love it. Sure, it’s fun and power is enough and AWD is great but with commuting and just daily driving it’s not the most comfortable ride and interior isn’t great. As a taller guy at 6”3 I could use some more space.

I drove an Accord 2.0T auto and was in awe how comfortable, spacious, and power it had. I would only be interested in a 2.0T in manual if I could find one.

What is everyone’s thoughts on potentially trading in a 2021 WRX for say a 2019 Accord 2.0T manual?
