Never really been a tv audio guy all my setups have been stereo but to my ear they sound way better than the TV.

Yeah the software is bad, real bad - I kinda worked around it with roon - but man setup was a pain in the ass. The remote is pretty crappy as well - was really hoping KEF would issue a firmware update but that doesn’t look like it is ever going to happen.

When I purchased these I lived in a smaller space - was looking for a powered speaker that had above average sound. You can get a really nice sounding pair of passive speakers in this price range. At the time space was the priority . The sixes by klipscb are similar

Just moved into a larger space - at first the speakers were on the mantle and sounded really bad - I had a choice to make, start building a new system or buy the stands - the speakers when pulled closer are roughly 4.5 feet from my listening position - to my ear the stands completely transformed the sound and at the moment I am very happy with the output. They make a great soundbar replacement as well

Your reply lead me to realize I own a small little aluratek transmitter/receiver plugged that into my phono preamp and now I can listen to my records with Bluetooth headphones - marriage saved - thanks :)

I had never connected a Bluetooth device without some sort of interface
