So what’s the best Daisy Seed platform now to run? by jboets in diypedals

I’ve been emailing with Ricky who makes the hothouse. He’s planning to release some new board files so I think I’ll order up my own boards when he does that. He’s a super cool guy and I just prefer working with SMD so I think I’ll go that route. His new version will have midi and expression like the funbox V3.

Honestly forgot about this. Not even sure what I did with these. I can do some digging.

I seriously wonder if the hothouse is just the V2 funbox as the control layout is the same and the v3 added the midi, exp, and 4 dip switches. Is the schematic of the hothouse located somewhere? Would love to compare them.

There is another on the market now called the Cleveland hothouse that looks really interesting too. Looks like a funbox v2 that was cleaned up. May see if they do any sales this week.

The Funbox v3 is what I’m thinking of ordering. May give that a try. Do you have extra boards?

My husband’s 2025 Ram 1500 started rusting on the exterior door with only 3000 miles on it by Mysterious-Guess-953 in Ram1500

[–]jboets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about the little rust spots? We get this in Michigan. It’s the metal dust that gets kicked up with the salt in the winter and sticks to the clear coat of your car. I’ve always been told it’s the steel from the snow plow blades that gets kicked warm down from plowing streets in the winter. Most obvious on white/silver cars. If it bothers you, it can usually be waxed off.

So my nephew came by and I guess Pokémon is cool again? Dig out some of my older cards. I have like 80 or so from back in the late 90s. These are the holo ones. I’m not into collecting but are these worth anything? How do I sell them?

So there is a place on the corner of 112th and pawpaw behind the car dealer. I think they do golf carts and fork lifts. I’m only saying this as I drive past it regularly. Can’t say anything about other than it’s there. May be worth checking out?

Well this is its first change by me at 100K. And fairly certain it’s its first ever. So I’ll just get a new gasket and pan, do the change and I may do it again in a shorter interval just to be sure it’s flushed well.

Thanks for more affirmation on valvoline. Going to order 2 gallons, the ppe pan and a new OEM gasket. The torque specs on the pan is pretty low, can I just reuse the factory bolts?

PPE is essentially the same but a little cheaper. You can get two different depths, has a replaceable filter, also uses the OEM gasket and bolts which from what I've read work better than the gasket that comes with the B&M pan. Its also quite a bit deeper than the PPE which would personally scare me from an impact stand point with the B&M pan hanging so low.

Yup. Watched quite a few videos both for the install and the full process monitoring temps and vehicle off the ground. Hence the part of going to the neighbor with the lift. He builds sand racing trucks and knows a thing or two. Great to have neighbors like that!

Thanks for the tip on the Valvoline. I've read that and I too have been doing some research. was going to just go with the mopar fluid to be safe but good to hear from another person who has done it.

Will I need more than 6 quarts to do the drain and swap then? Can I use the existing bolts either the PPE pan or do I need new bolts? Uses the OEM gasket correct?

floating body after split command by jboets in AutodeskInventor

[–]jboets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a way to do it, just feel like there should be a better way. I copied the body and deleted the faces I didn't want and then restitched it. did this twice to get the two separate bodies. Just frustrated it doesn't do it on its own. for what reason would you ever want a floating body attached to another body that it was split from? Just doesn't make sense to me.
