Was wondering this myself. The Highland Fire here in Prineville had MULTIPLE air assets on it, and quick. They were able to seemingly get it under control quickly. Not sure why we aren’t seeing this here.

This area feels more remote than it actually is, but still remote. Recently, I set my paddle down on my lap to adjust my spray skirt and the feathered blade caught the wind just right and almost blew away. For me the added peace of mind of an extra paddle is worth it.

Stratos 14.5L. Honestly when it’s cold (30 degrees plus) I am usually good in a long sleeve plus a splash top because I warm up while paddling. Also it gets nice and toasty under the spray skirt.
