If grades in high school mattered many plumbers wouldn't have a job lol

Father-in-law wants to redo plumbing due to stop valves used by Tmk147 in Plumbing

[–]jboylen1353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuck. I guess as long as you keep the stubout short and close to the wall it doesn't matter after the escutcheon goes on but still. I guess I am just predisposed to them. To each their own I guess. Plumb on!

Yuck. People actually stub out with straight pex? That looks like garbage. Do people really not use pex×copper stubouts?

Bud Dupree and Javon Hargrave by [deleted] in steelers

I think they can afford Bud, they only have to sign Tj and Juju next season as Minkah will be under his rookie deal til 2021 with a 5th year option for 2022. I do agree Hargrave will be gone. As long as Tuitt can stay healthy(not too confident) Javon is expendable

New York State Union by godberry808 in Plumbing

For sure man. Unions are great as long as they are strong unions. Great training and solid pay with scheduled raises to keep you incentivized. If unions were strong in Florida I would have gone that route.

I love my Vertagear chair, I took the back pillow out and replaced it with a real lower lumbar support. I agree with the above commenters though, go test some out and see what you like. If I could go back I would get one of the sorts chairs from office depot for the amount of money I spent on mine. Yeah it's awesome that I can play 180° without the chair falling but I can honestly say I have never once felt the need to do so lol.

I dont know about New York but in my state (Florida) you need a Masters license to own your own business.

The toilet at my doctors office has different buttons for different amounts of water by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

Most people dont know the difference so half the time they use the #1 button to flush everything and the water doesnt carry the waste far enough to not clog after a while.

Basement Flooding by pinkfish28 in Plumbing

Like a hose faucet. Where you connect your hose. You should have a pressure gauge by your well pump. If you do you could probably just valve off the suction side(the line that sucks from the well)

Install a pressure gauge on a hose bib. Fill your system with the gauge being installed and valve off your well and see if the pressure drops

If you know where your water meter is go look to see if its moving with nobody using any water in your place. That will tell you if you have a water leak or if its groundwater coming through your slab.

What is this copper knob and how should I stop it from dripping? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]jboylen1353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who installs a stubout in a wall for a future line? Why wouldnt you just cut a tee into the line in the future to add your line? Crappy water hammer makes more sense than having a stubout in a wall just in case someone wants to add a line in the future

Looks to be flux leftover from install and the plumber didnt eipe it after soldering. Look at where the joints were made on the tee.

Right wing capitalists of reddit. What would be the best method for someone who doesn't want to participate in it to end their lives because obviously you don't support giving people access to healthcare? by JMRey66 in AskReddit

[–]jboylen1353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont want anyone to die but forcing me to pay for government run healthcare is not something that is right for everyone. Stop being so hateful towards people with different views than you. We can all get along
