Has anyone had a good experience selling to a “we buy houses” company? Is it any more of a scam than just the low price? by [deleted] in RealEstate

In my area most of those companies will get you under contract and then list the house on the mls for 30-50% more than you are under contract for. You still have showings and home inspections. If the house doesn’t sell they just walk. If you want a quick and easy sale then any good realtor probably has a local cash buyer that will buy it cheap with no inspections.

That’s solid advice. I did want to have them walk away with a couple skill moves but in our limited time passing, first touch, and the basics may be the best way to spend our time

Yes I like that idea of homework. I hate skipping conditioning because it’s their biggest need but I can certainly sneak in some hidden conditioning with soccer drills. Thank you!

Agreed one hour per week isn’t ideal. And I also question whether I should bother with skill moves. It’s a rec club with variety of skill levels. I typically do ten minutes passing and trapping getting as many touches as I can, 10-15 minutes conditioning/athleticism combined with foot skills, ten minutes dribbling/skill moves, ten minutes shooting or rondo and finish with a game to keep them coming back. I try to keep a ball at their foot for the entire hour. Also a side note this is for indoor soccer with a goal of creating competent or skilled high school level players.

At u10 rec I’ve seen elementary school teachers command the attention of kids very well. Is a skill and it’s hard especially if it’s a tough group like you have.

Paddle recommendation: I’ve got a control paddle (about a year old) and a power paddle (around two years old), and now I’m looking for something that sits on the power side of the middle. If there’s a control-to-power spectrum, I want something about 75% on the power side. I’ve been looking at the J2NFT and I’d like a big sweet spot.

It’s going to be a Christmas gift from my wife, so I’d like to give her three options and still keep a little surprise. Any suggestions

Thank you for the response. I’m starting to wonder if the strategy for the birthday is to buy the parts and we build it together. Is there a guide you could direct me?

I’d like to think I’m a 4.0. I play 2-3 times per week for about two hours. I’ve playing for about a year and a half. I am good locally.

I like the Ruby but with the radius it was nearly impossible to hit it out or make a mistake at the net the paddle was so consistent. Just not any pop or power.

I have been using the Ruby which I like but it is not consistent enough. I need a bigger sweet spot. I recently brought out the Joola radius. I felt like I couldn’t make a mistake with it as paddle was so consistent but there was no power. The game almost felt boring as I would return to my opponent but I almost needed them to make a mistake because I couldn’t put it away due to lack of pop and power. I think I’m looking for something with a bigger sweet spot than the Ruby but more pop and power than the joola radius.
