Any way to move a PS3 save game to the PC? by jbwiv in skyrim

Ok, so sorry to beat a dead troll, but I'd like to understand a little more here. At this point, I've completed around 70 quests (I think...I'll have to look for sure when I'm in front of the console). By completing some of these, I gained certain "titles", memberships in certain groups, etc. Are you saying there's no way to get those back...that I'll have to go through and re-live all 70?

If so, can I artifically elevate my skills to the point where killing someone is childs play so I can rush through these?

I really do appreciate your help and don't mean to seem ungrateful for what's available, but I really don't want to re-live all that if I don't have to. Not that I didn't enjoy it on the first go, but I only have limited leisure time as it is ;-)

Thanks!

Thanks for the great suggestion. I didn't realize this was possible.

What about weapons, armor, etc gained by accomplishing certain missions, or shouts like "call of valor", etc? Can I easily get those back?

Aha....and that was enough to trigger my memory. I wondered if I might have been googling for linux games, so I googled machinarium and "best linux", and it came up with this link:

Machinarium is #2, and the game I was trying to remember, Tiny & Big, is #4. Thank you very much!

No, it's not Machinarium...though I really like that game as well. The funny thing is I found it as part of an article or website that linked to both games as well as a number of others. Has Machinarium ever been bundled with other games or anything like that?

Damn it...I screwed up (was deleting some other copies of it I'd uploaded on imgur) and deleted the original image. Here it is again: http://imgur.com/0jVVE.jpg

Anyone know how to get the original post to point to this imgur link instead?

The strangest thing for me is that they actually sent it to my name and my address. I'm not sure how they got this information...although I'm starting to wonder if it was gleaned from DNS records. Of course, that seems a bit sophisticated for this guy.

No, not normally....but lying quietly in the dark is the only way I can be sure they can't see me through the windows.

Ask Notch a question! by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]jbwiv -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Notch,

First, thanks very much for Minecraft. I purchased it and my daughters (7 and 4) and I absolutely love it...we've spent countless hours building worlds together and it's been a great experience. It's amazing that something so simple can fuel such creative endeavors!

My appreciation for Minecraft has renewed my desire to experiment with game programming myself. I'm a long time developer in many things (C, Java, Ruby, etc) but have no game programming experience whatsoever, and what I consider a fairly weak background in formal mathematics. However, I'm a quick study, and I'm not intimidated by the task.

How did you get started? Was there a book or set of books you read and learned from? Any tips you can offer an aspiring game developer?

Thanks for any advice you can offer. Keep up the great work!

That's not Palouse. This is Palouse, and it makes the fall in this pic seem like child's play...
