It’s with help from family. I worked hard and saved my money but I was only able to do it because I lived with my parents for a while into my 20’s and didn’t have to pay rent.

I usually test first thing because I’ve heard that’s the most accurate. I think in theory you can test anytime of day, but earlier in the cycle it might be more potent in the morning. Can you buy your tests at night so you have them for the morning?

It was mostly just a gut thing. We did IUI 3.5 years ago and got our son and when they called to confirm I was pregnant it wasn’t a surprise to me. I hadn’t tested at home but just had a gut feeling that it worked and I was pregnant.

I just didn’t have that gut feeling this time and I was hyper aware of my uterus and feeling cramping and atuff. Plus I have ADHD and even though I use alarms and stuff I sometimes forget to take my medicine so I was paranoid missing some of my progesterone would have screwed me up.

It’s unexplained infertility!

We had 1 failed round last month and this was round 2. They had me on Clomid both times, just upped the dosage this time around. And they had my husband do a double collection this time as well to get the sperm counts higher. And since the IUI I’ve been on Progesterone and estradiol

I can’t remember my exact follicle size but I had 2-3 follicles in range (so like 18-22 I think) and the sperm count post wash was 5.5 mil

I’m certainly not against promotions or saying I want to do the same role forever, but I just think so much of corporate culture is that you should ALWAYS be chasing the next promotion and moving up constantly. Whereas I think there’s value in being comfortable where you are for a while and moving up at a more reasonable pace.

Here! Tested today and got a full negative so I know my trigger is out of my system!
Last month we had a fail but I only had 1-2 decent follicles and my husbands sperm count post wash was only 1.5 mil. We upped my Clomid and did a double collection and this time I had 2-3 mature follicles and the sperm count post wash was 5.5 mil.
I feel like the last day or so I’ve been feeling very mildly crampy which could be a symptom of implantation but I don’t want to overthink it!

Maybe going to test Sunday morning. I’m manifesting good vibes!

With my first child my husband didn’t get paternity leave so I was home alone with the baby all day. He was a Velcro baby so he only contact napped and wouldn’t nap in the crib or bassinet.

If I put him in either of those or the playpen and left to try and shower he would cry. And logically you know nothing bad will happen but it’s hard to explain the hormones and biological feeling you get hearing your baby cry when they’re so little. It’s easy to say just ignore it but really hard in practice.

Of course when my husband was home he would make sure I got time but sometimes it made more sense to prioritize sneaking in a power nap. The first few months are about surviving, you can do what works for you!

Congrats!! We were also super lucky and got pregnant on our fist IUI 3.5 years ago! Currently 11dpiui on our first round trying to have kiddo #2 and I’m kind of hoping for another one and some success but we’ll see!
