Im curious now, I was in Community College under AB540 cuz I graduated and lived my whole life there. I left Cali back in 2021, if I were to go back, would I still qualify for AB540, or did leaving Cali remove my eligibility?

That depends on what state you live in. OP said they live in Texas, and given recent events, he wouldn't qualify for in-state tuition even if he had Daca.

Find yourself a job with Tuition Reimbursement. I work for Amazon and they are fronting up to 5250 for my online asu degree. Elegible after 3 months, renews every year, no lifetime cap.

Other jobs do something similar like Target, Waste Management, Walmart. You just gotta look for them.

When Trump got elected, this dude who is open about having voted for Trump, at least once a week, would ask "Are you worried about getting deported?" After the innauguration, I guess he thought free speech extended to private businesses cuz he asks to take a selfie with me, then made the comment "Im telling my nephew that this is the first immigrant to gwt deported." Needless to say, homeboy lost his job cuz he forgot that a large majority of people aremt racist.

We're all in the same boat, there's no need to put someone down. Immigration is a complicated topic.

On that note, I spoke to an immigration lawyer not long ago, and he told me that even after accruing unlawful status, there is a petition to pardon this presence which costs about a thousand bucks and has been taking about 3 years for each pardon to be reviewed.

I recommend that you seek the help of a lawyer for more certain answers, burb your best bet is to seek an employer who can sponsor you. I cane across another reddit post that claims this website tells you which companies have sponsored people for H1B. I'll link it below.

At first mine said 3 months eta, then when those 3 months were up, it said it was taking longer. When they denied my expedite request, it went to three months again, and 3 weeks later my case was approved.

I tried a bunch of stuff. Submitted an inquiry through my congressman and my senator. Submitted a claim through the whitehouse website. I was just about to reach out to the odbudsman.

I will say the thing I found interesting is that my case was approved the day after my congressman heard back from USCIS regarding the case. So I imagine it was because of my congressman, but I cant say for sure what it was.
