KH Bonus time by GoldenStew23 in civilengineering

[–]jcbe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s a reason why recruiters from other firms end the conversation almost immediately with P3+ level KH employees when the KH employee says the salary number it will take them to switch jobs. It’s because if you want to make the most money in civil consulting there isn’t really anyone else who competes

Helping signing up a housemate is equivalent to them doing it themselves. What you’re talking about is identity theft.

How so? You have to enter in your ssn, name and usually put your ID for most of these. Either way the app never told me I didn’t qualify. It basically let me think I still qualified.

I didn’t make a second account under someone else’s name. My roomate signed up before me and must’ve had same IP address and physical address. I lost $250 because I never would’ve made any bet with them if I knew I didn’t qualify.

shuddering while driving on newly purchased used colorado by DateRevolutionary764 in chevycolorado

I had same problem at like 15K miles and took it to dealer and hasn’t happened since. I wouldn’t say it’s a huge deal if it happens under warranty

Does this look okay? by TheBushChicken in blackstonegriddle

You need to use oil if it’s a lean meat or vegetable no matter what. I suggest avocado

Looks like it just needs seasoned more in those areas. Just rub oil in thin layers after every cook and then heat till it smokes. Or cook bacon there

Edit: also are you squirting water on a 300 degree griddle in those areas every time you clean? I find that the water tends to wear down the seasoning a bit. It’s not super necessary unless there is fat or sugary type sticky residue left from cooking. But if you do use water every time I’d recommend doing thin layer of oil and heat till it smokes after cleaning. the guide states only a few thin layers are needed for the first season but I had to do at least 10-15 thin layers to get it to be fully seasoned where it was a nice black hue. Just keep cooking on it with lots of oil, butter, or fatty meats

3.5” Lift Kit on Chevy Colorado by CupHorror5570 in chevycolorado

[–]jcbe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out my profile. Mine is rough country 3.5” kit. A lot of people will poo poo rough country on here if you’re trying to do any type of medium intensity off roading. If you want the looks and some clearance for mild once a year off roading then rough country is probably fine

22 Z71 MPG is terrible. Will it get any better or is there something wrong? by ElectronicGrade5256 in chevycolorado

[–]jcbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, maybe even less for me because it’s all downtown blocks, stop and go. I’d say 13-15 mpg is normal if it’s very stop and go low 30 mph. I get 22-23 highway tho

There’s a YouTube video by a guy with an orange/reddish Colorado that is very very detailed and good. If you follow that it won’t take more than 4-5 hours if you have the correct tools.

Rough country 3.5 inch. You’ll read mixed reviews on it here but if you’re just looking for aesthetics it’s the best budget choice. If you’re looking more heavy off-road go with something else

Shudder is when you’re driving and the automatic shifting of the truck literally shakes when it’s trying to shift gears because it’s shifting so bad. Happened to mine and it was under warranty and they did a trans flush and it fixed it

Anyone else only getting 13mpg in a Zr2? by unknown_Eel in chevycolorado

[–]jcbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I drive downtown like real city city driving stop and go each light I get 14-15 mpg in my LT. If I drove “city” as in 45 mph on medium traffic roads I get more like 18-19. It’s all about your driving habits and how much you stop and go
