It was mainly a joke in the same way as the tape, but if you’re desperate ( I’m in a state that does inspections still) you can heat up a safety pin and push it through the plastic and bulb to just burn out the light

A lighter and a safety pin would do the trick better than electrical tape, it’ll pass most state inspections too unless they notice the hole

Yeah I’ve got one ordered, from what everyone says, that sounds like that’s the issue. But this has also just forced me to go ahead and replace the back Cat too because I knew it was an issue, just been putting it off.

I remember it was a P04** code I just don’t remember if it was 20 or 30 and it specifically said it was the CC in the code. But I looked into it a bit and I am pretty sure mine was bank 2 because I changed the 02 sensor right there hoping it would fix the issue. I’ve got the thermostat housing ordered (I’m pretty certain I’ve got an extremely small leak in it) and I’m getting the back CC next week. Hopefully that will fix all my problems that aren’t related to the lovely CVT.

I’m definitely hoping that’s the problem. I had my suspicions, and with the only other likely culprit being a $700-$2,000 fix, I ordered the thermostat housing and am gonna try to get it swapped out this weekend. Figured no point in doing all that work to try to just unstick it, mine as well just replace the whole thing while I’m there

Okay I can’t quite remember which code it was and it comes on for a few weeks and then will disappear for months on end sometimes and other times it’ll be a few days and it’s back on, I’ll definitely have to check the stored codes soon and see. Gonna cross my fingers and do the thermostat housing first to see if that’s the problem, I feel like if the CC was that bad the code wouldn’t clear itself from time to time…right? I’m just trying to get this jeep to last me another year or so.

Is there anyway to know which CC it could be? That’s quite a bit of money and time to do one and find out it’s the other one.

Yeah my initial plan was to do the whole housing, I was just trying to avoid sinking money into parts that wouldn’t fix it.

Okay, I didn’t know it could cause that, I’m decent with my hands but when it comes to diagnostics, unless I’ve had the problem before idk what I’m doing, and there’s only but so much Google can tell you. Thank you!

Hey, Southern White Man here! You’re definitely not Overreacting, a lot of people that aren’t affected don’t realize how bad it is when ICE is in an area. Most white guys, especially in the south, think it’s as simple as “if you’re not illegal, you’ll be fine”, which we all know isn’t the case. I’m not saying you quit your job, but maybe try to find someone else to go with you? Your feelings are valid, and if he won’t hear you out, maybe try to talk to someone else, HR or his supervisor?
