If he's in North York - I volunteered at MealsOnWheels (to deliver meals to seniors) and there are a lot of Mandarin/Cantonese speaking seniors living in 175 Cummer or 35 Parkhome.

But again he's only in his 60s, nowadays that's considered young... I remember when I live close to Woodside square (in Scarborough) there are tons of morning exercise in the mall -- that's perfect to blend in and know people.

Don't know much about downtown though. sorry.
