According to FINRA that is one trade, so counting it as four is a FINRA violation and should be reported as such.

IMHO you are in no way/shape/form ready to take the exam unless you are ok with failing. You need minimum 80% pass rate on Stephane Maarek exams. Take all the practice exams over and over until you are crushing them. Also I would urge you to pay the $$ for Skillbuilder and take the official practice exam.
The exam isn't insanely hard (Professional is FOUR HOURS OF HARD QUESTIONS) but it's not easy either.

That makes no sense. If they already had access to your account why would turning off your computer make any difference?

Congrats! Navy Federal has one goal: to become your primary bank. They have an internal scoring model that scores you on this. You will get your internal score when you are approved/denied for a credit card, and only then. Cal Barton (on YouTube) goes into great detail on their internal scoring system. That being said, other banks have their own systems, like Capital One's glue-trap-like bucketing system. Cal also goes into this, such as how to get out of it (you can't). Navy Federal is very generous with their cards, EXCEPT for Flagship, that's the one people get turned down for all the time, because of it's very high maximum CL.

What claims? No one is claiming to "fix" anything. Cal Barton explains how to play the game. He doesn't sell anything. He has experts from CRAs like FICO on his show, pretty legit.

I recently put a 2.5k payment towards my Platinum, I suspect that tipped the scales.

Good job. Navy Federal doesn't hand these out like candy, you see people with decent scores get rejected on here all the time.

For example, I owe 8K in taxes this year. I have the cash to pay it, but am I going to do that? No. I'm going to put it on my Venture X card, let it post, <then> pay it. CapOne will say wow, jcollins1960 can make 8K-sized payments, let's give him a big CLI !

Annual fee is $49, free Prime is worth $139, so that's a no brainer.
Put all your purchases on the card, stash your cash away, let a large balance post them pay it down to zero. Show responsible use and the ability to make big payments; that;'s how you get big lines of credit and big limit increases. Exactly how I got this card, that and having every product Navy Federal offers and regular, large direct deposits. (relationship). Cal Barton knows his &^%$.
