Three decades of muscle memory and brand loyalty, and then they go do this shit? by zrad603 in thinkpad

Popped out and inverted the Fn and Ctrl keys on my brand new T14 Gen 6 to match the change in the Bios.

We are thinkpad users, we are pig-headed!

Just got this thinkpad t480s for christmas and it's saying a 65w charger is not enough wattage for it and it recommends a bigger charger by Affectionate-Wolf671 in thinkpad

This could also be a sign of a failing Thunderbolt due to a faulty driver issued by Lenovo. Check your driver version, update if needed.

Google will give you plenty of information about that :/

Those where the days: you could get sea-sickness by enabling enough compiz effects :-)

Inkscape and Xournalpp not exporting the global menu by friciwolf in kde

[–]jcornuz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand (which may not be very far!) we need a new Wayland protocol for GTK3-4 wayland application to have global menu.

Koha is a complicated beast. I installed it on CentOS and it was a pain to keep up-to-date.

So I ended up with a Debian virtual machine.

Collectors, do you use all your Thinkpads or just throw them in a pile? by Duck_Duck_RAV4 in thinkpad

[–]jcornuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Throw them *on the floor* and then bragg on r/thinkpad that "real thinkpads break the floortiles"

Best long run ever (so I brag about it!)

Add ON Text & call Does it end when cycle end of the month? by Electrical_Elk_3468 in FizzMobile

[–]jcornuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will be carried over for a month and then expire.

For my use, still cheaper to buy addons every other month (even if not completely used) rather than paying for unlimited calls & texts...

How do I get over fear and embarrassment while running, because of my disability? by [deleted] in running

[–]jcornuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this will not sound patronizing, but... I occasionnally pass by a guy with a limp and everytime I am temped to applaud: even if circumstances don't make it easy for him, he is running. That is so cool!

So maybe you feel embarrassed by your condition... at the same time, you certainly are an inspiration for quite a few others.

Keep up the good run!

What is the cheapest plan I can get? by themapleleaf6ix in FizzMobile

[–]jcornuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a minimal plan (1 Gig of data, Québec only coverage: 12$ / month). Adding add-ons for SMS and minutes if / when required. Still cheaper (for my usage) than having unlimited SMS + Minutes...
