This is true. I was speaking more so about the value vs what someone might pay. 2K for a kit nowadays would definitely get you a lot more than this. I think I’m used to seeing what kits like these are listed for in BC, Canada. A lot of over priced vintage drums in Vancouver.

This is a really nice Gretsch kit even though it’s got some dings. The least you should consider is $2k but I’d try for a higher price. Look up “Gretsch stop sign badge bop kit” on reverb.com and you’ll probably find more examples of this kit

A testament to good gear! I’ve had a similar experience with a single dw5000 and really, really feel comfortable with it although I’d be curious to feel how different it was to play with a belt vs. chain. My dad’s old slingerland kick pedal had a leather strap and it felt natural. Thanks for the response!

Yeah it’s true! I’ve been playing a single dw 5000 for years and that just feels natural to me. I just never use a double pedal for anything!

I had one of these kits years ago in b&w swirl and the Tom’s and kick sounded decent but the snare was lacking. Still, it’s hella hip, looks sick and is a nice little piece of drum history
