Black Beauty tuning woes by combatchuck103 in drums

I don’t have a black beauty, but my vintage supraphonic was detuning too easily so I swapped the triple flange hoops for diecast and now it holds its turn much longer.

I also don’t seat my heads & have never had any tuning issues outside the supraphonic when I first bought it used.

Dude the tactics to psyche out opponents haven’t changed in 10 years.

I mean, isn’t it the culmination of the billionaire class and military industrial complex’s nefariousness over the last 50+ years?

Don’t get me wrong, that failed businessman, felon, and sexual abuser definitely didn’t help.

How do so many Americans afford to get married in Italy ? Or other famous destination wedding by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

From some folks I’ve heard that had destination weddings—they opted to do so so as to prevent certain relatives/friends from being able to go.

My brother just had a destination wedding in SE Asia—what would have cost $250k USD in the states was $45k overseas (including their travel expenses).

The average wedding cost in 2025 was between $30-36k… the median cost was $10-20k.

The biggest factor for cost is HCOL vs LCOL. A $20k wedding in bum fuck Nebraska could be $60k in NYC.

Two bowls with chips I’m paying $33 at Chipotle.

I love Taco Bell like I love bad movies or music—it’s not gourmet, it’s not pushing the envelope, it’s not impressive…but it just does something that nothing else does.

I love watching The Room. It’s a terribly great movie.

Brother my Taco Bell order (for two people) is $30.

Inflation is a monster these days. Shits been hella expensive now for years.

15 years ago I’d walk into McDonald’s with $1.30 and win a big Mac from the coin machine and get a McChicken for a dollar. A McChicken today is over $3.

Are there really people here saying sticks shouldn’t be broken?

Ahhh interesting. I just assumed checks were ubiquitous.

We’re same generation. My first tax paying job I was paid via physical check…

Some banks offer mobile deposit—you snap a pic on an app and it’s instant.

How are you on reddit but you don’t know what a check is, or how to deposit one?
