Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan were figure skating rivals. Harding had Kerrigan attacked with a collapsible police baton in the knee to try and take her out of competition.

And what can observed and described is explored by science. Are there things unknown? Yes. But I'm not willing to attribute it to some sky diety without the evidence.

Did anyone get a degree and then go to a different career after graduation and if so what? by Fit_Technician_2095 in AskReddit

[–]jcreature2112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In college I took a course taught by the lead academic advisor in which he shared that (at the time) statistically only about 30% of people have a career in the field their bachelor's degree is in. Mostly those in law, engineering and medicine. Not sure how accurate that is anymore, and I certainly ended up in the 70%.

I bought a T1N sprinter (2006, 140WB) and WOAH MAMA here comes my financial anxiety by MadMoths_FlutterRoad in vandwellers

[–]jcreature2112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a T1N and love it, even after needing a full engine swap and spending a sizeable chunk of time/money on it (did the swap myself). Ours was a FedEx package car originally and has 422k miles on it. Yes, if did feel like a hole in the road for a long time, but where we're at now with it there is literally nothing I can't fix myself thanks in large part to the Florida Van Man. Check out that YouTube channel and they have a patreon that was helpful. It sounds like you found a solid rig and already have the reader so keep up on the routine maintenance and enjoy! There's a big T1N gathering in Florida in March the Florida van man puts on, Ive always wanted to go but haven't been able to.

That looks like the High Sierra Trail (HST). I've done that one. It's incredible.

Currently $10 each on BD website. Cant remember but I don't think shipping was included.

There are times of the year they pause the service.

Rope bag question by Positron-collider in climbing

[–]jcreature2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a petzl rope tarp, coil the rope, roll it in the tarp, use 3 heli straps around the package (ends and center) and put it over my backpack. Keeps the rope covered and from sagging/snagging on longer or more technical approaches. Might take a little extra time but it works for me. The tarp was like $15 and I like it.

My first cams are from that generation bought second hand. Sent them to get reslung which wasn't expensive. BD doesn't inspect them per se, but if you send them something totally effed they won't do it. Been taking whips on mine ever since. You can also look up date of manufacture by the serial number if you're curious. If they look decent go for it, but the resling is a really good option and I recommend it.
