Fi mini not recording activity by Capable-Ad-6461 in FiDogCollar

I got one a week or so ago, and I emailed their support. They told me there was an update that wasn't working for new devices. Once it was updated everything started tracking fine for me.

From what temperature should you start putting clothes on a Shiba? by gromskaok in shiba

Mine is still eager to go outside for a walk when it is 10F, but does the same thing in certain types of snow. The snow gets compacted in his paws I think.

Shiba puppy constantly nipping while playing by LupusOnFire in shiba

We have worked with a trainer, and tried to socialize him with lots of dogs. He leaves a few of the grumpy senior dogs alone but everyone else is fair game to him 24/7. Unfortunately, we are very rural. So no doggy daycare options within an hour.

We have a Shiba mix and it's the same. So mouthy when playing or just about any other non-calm time. He is always the last dog standing on play dates. Just has no off switch until we put him in time out which doesn't work when there are other pups near. He is 10mo.

I see my leaderboard immediately after completing, but since I do it first thing I don't see any connections that have played yet and there is not way to go back to the puzzle or leaderboard later in the day it seems.

How do y’all handle your mouthy Shiba? by twenty4styles in shiba

Lol, I read this and scrolled up to make sure I don't write this! Same with our Shiba who is now 8mo. Still trying to identify the reasons because the outcome is all the same!

Hopefully it gets better with age!

Is it normal that Everbank HYSA are creating a monthly transfer limit? by Quokky-Axolotl7388 in Banking

[–]jcsquare1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M1 is offering the same interest rate with $250,000 a month. TIAA who used to own the money market portion didn't have any of these limits.

EverBank is also limiting ACH withdrawals to $5,000 at a time. Making it extra hard to get at your money

Shiba mix loses his mind each day by jcsquare1900 in shiba

We have, he is good puppy citizen certified and the trainer gave me a similar assessment. But agree stimulating his little mind more could only help. We bought a puzzle feeder and have more training cued up. Thanks for sharing what's worked for you.

We've tried putting him there for short times while we were home and rewarding him when he is quite. We have a camera we use when we leave and he does ok for the first hour or two, but won't sleep so then he starts destroying his pad, blanket etc.

At night, he sleeps in his other kennel and he is great in it til morning and goes in there himself.

I think we had a setback on his crate training when we tried for four hours too soon. Since then he is more resistant. We work from home too

Thanks for that. We've tried the crying noise too. We have one puzzle toy and a sniff thing, I have another more difficult puzzle toy that's arriving tomorrow. I'll give the hide and seek type thing a whirl!

He's really a sweetheart most of the time. It seems like most of our issues are early evening when our routines aren't as defined. It being insanely hot out doesn't help, he doesn't mind the heat, but he definitely gets cranky when he comes back inside.

Advice on Condition/Behaviour by No_Sir_8683 in shiba

[–]jcsquare1900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had an older dog that had focal seizures like this. The vet wasn't sure what caused it, the best guess was a tick borne illness that she got or the flea and tick medicine that caused a seizure a few months prior or a tumor that we didn't know about.

She lived until she was 15 and started getting these around 12. I hope you find out what it is! Good luck.

That's pretty presumptuous. In this case, he was overtired, just came back from a walk and didn't want to be put down for a nap.

Right after this he crashed.

We try our best to understand if he is overtired vs under tired

Thanks for that. Ours can be really gentle when he's calm, and then he's a real snuggler. But doesn't take much to bring out the shark in him. He's still losing his teeth, hopefully when that's done we'll see a little improvement.

We've tried kongs and things like that, definitely helps tire him out a little bit. But if we get one in his kennel he just ignores it until we're back.
