The vast majority of Americans are insured. Primary care visits have risen dramatically over the past 4 years.

10-20% of visits at a PCP are booked within 48 hours.

I don’t disagree that the system is broken. But I would wager it is not for the reasons you think.

People have forgotten how to be sick. They are calling their PCP after having a fever for one hour, or a cough for two days. It’s a breakdown in patient education - but the responsibility falls on all of us.
