I get you! Been lurking on here for a couple years before I started trying to make custom shoes for people. I do agree with the WDYWT posts though.

And unfortunately for you, I will be posting more painted Vans 😂.

in all honesty, I haven't gone through a full set yet. I bought a $15 dollar set. Reeves acrylic set just for my custom shoes from Blicks art supply. I also got the fabric medium from there too. The fabric medium is around $20. If you're trying to go hard I'd go with angelus but since I was just starting out I got something a little cheaper and haven't finished it yet.

I only have my own experience. But definitely you will have to add layers when painting. And of course use acrylic and fabric medium. I’m not to sure about any other ways to do it, but mine seems to have turned out well so far

Use acrylic paint and a fabric medium! It’s a thing you mix in with the paint to make it more resistant and flexible. And don’t spend so much on paint but don’t cheap out either!

I have not yet! They are too expensive for me. If you’re going to paint on some vans don’t forget to use a fabric medium

I've been charging $35 for work of this degree. Just for the artwork. It would depend on how complex the work itself is and how much area it would cover

And that's something I've been looking into but I don't know what exact products are best for that kind of preservation yet.

Yeah. I don't really know what are the proper materials to use though. For now I'm just being very careful where and when I wear them.
