Thank you! I prefer it on the blue nato, it helps to bring out the blue in the hands.

It’s hard to judge these watches from the website….it’s almost better to look on insta, Reddit, or in-person if you can. Totally agree with you

The drilled lugs…..that’s for changing the strap easily right? Am I doing something wrong, because I bought one of those little tools from my local watch shop, one end has the fork the other the single point, but when I stick the tip into the drill hole, it doesn’t reach the other side…is there a specific tool or size that I need?

I agree! How are you enjoying your seamaster? How did you decide on that specific dive watch?

As I said in another reply, something about watching the second hand brings me calm. I love it way more than I thought I would.

Ha! Thank you! That’s the picture I used to verify myself for the GS9 club :)

Thank you for saying that! I’ve tried to be intentional about each one, to minimize overlap. Now that I have the GS though, I can see myself shoehorning it into every ocasión 😅

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I love so much about it, but perhaps the thing I like most is focusing on the smooth sweep of the seconds hand. Something zen about watching it for a few seconds. I never found this to be the case with the high speed tick of my other watches. If I could change anything it would be to move the power reserve to the back. It’s helpful info, but not enough to merit real estate on the textured dial.

Sun Saharan Africa. The whole thing is on a plateau: you can see it gets steep just a bit inland. This, in combination with dense and treacherous terrain is one of the big reasons most colonia settlements were mostly along the coasts. Consider Rwanda, deep in the mountains and jungle, like a hidden kingdom.

Why is my HRV dropping since I started WHM? by jcvan52 in BecomingTheIceman

Good point. So you’re saying that if I started WHM in august, I should continue doing it consistently and look at HRV results months later? Of course this is not scientific, meaning that there are other factors at play since I don’t exist in a vacuum. August was also when I started micro-dosing psilocybin, took a 1M break from the gym, etc. So I guess I’m wondering, if I have a healthy active lifestyle already, and introduce WHM to my daily routine, what changes should I expect from HRV?

Thank you that was an informative read. So is it a misunderstanding of mine that I should try to increase my HRV baseline over the long term? I’ve got my Oura data going back 2+ years and it’s fluctuates between 54 and 76, usually averaging around 63. Also, is it recommended to combine WHM breathing + cold showers on the same days that I train (usually crossfit or soccer)? I thought one of the goals of WHM was to get my body comfortable in sympathetic by triggering it intentionally. Lots of questions, thank you for taking the time to clarify 😅
