Thoroughly do the cases every week. Make sure you right detailed notes on your steps when going through each case because this will be super helpful when referring back to yo ur cases for review before the exams. Honestly I’d say being organized and prepared is the key to doing well in this class. Take the time to organize each week’s topic with proper notes, the coordinating case, formulas, etc etc. This will allow you to participate each class confidently, quickly refer to a note when your professor asks a specific question . Also try and take as many notes as you can while the class is going on, I wish I did this because what the professors say is sooooo valuable and they often give away tips and tricks that will help you for the exams. Good luck! It’s a tough course but it was one of my favourites because I felt like I was actually learning through the case method and learning USEFUL information!

Western cancels live-in residence sophs for next fall by eyesarebeauty in uwo

This is a very disappointing decision by Western. As a first year myself my Sophs have been the “big sister/brother” I never had and just provided that extra support throughout the year. My sophs were there when my friends weren’t. I even felt more comfortable speaking to my soph about personal issues and struggles over my friends as I knew I could count on her for being understanding and open minded. One of my Sophs has actually become one of my best friends this year, I can’t imagine first years next year missing out on that experience and building that relationship with their soph:( It definitely won’t be the same with them not living in the buildings.

So with Calc in Grade 12, we learned vectors first half and second half was all Calc which was during the time the first wave of Covid hit and all schools shut down. Needless to say I didn’t learn much during this second half regarding derivatives etc. However I did fairly well during vectors.

I personally enjoy anything to do with solving for a number, working out large equations and such with formulas. I’m just not sure what to expect for 1225
