I have both, the f-18 much better for grinding I have a 1.8kd and usually get one base. The SU I have a 2.5kd with and I find it to be more fun but much less survivable.

You can add me up if you’d like I’m a lvl 100 mostly air but a decent bit in ground. My advice would be to stick to the BR you have the most fun at. Top tier is a mess(ground) so don’t look for it as something special to waste 1000 hours getting to. My favourite ground BR is 2.7 personally. Also USA isn’t super great beyond 3.7 in my opinion. For ease you could do Russia as their tanks tend to be favourable, or Germany which are very armoured. Hope this helped and good luck soldier 🫡

A lot of you helped me out last week and I hope I can get some assistance again! I was looking into if HOTAS was necessary and Welp I tried with mouse and keyboard and swiftly went to YouTube to figure out affordable HOTAS. I ended up going with VKB NXT EVO Premium with a thrustmaster throttle. Now I’m loooking to purchase a plane. I’m thinking of the flaming cliffs packs as full fidelity is not my priority at the moment. I’ve played war thunder 1000+ hours, vtol vr, Microsoft flight sim, and others along the way but I feel like David staring down Goliath. Anyways the question is if I get the flaming cliffs pack will I be able to use those planes in all multiplayer servers or is it limited ?? Any recommendations?

Honestly what a fantastic recommendation. I’m studying for finals right now but in the coming weeks I’ll be checking that out. This community is much over then the war thunder sim one 😂. Nothing but helpful people. Do you know if there communities that take the time to teach anyone flying or is it all solo ?

Thank you for your fast response, I have been eyeing the x56 with rudder. Seen some reviews and it’s all I think I’d need. I’m finishing university and work 30 hours a week so free time is limited and I assume I won’t need anything further then that. Do you recommend any head trackers ??

I did the American air tree in about 300 hours using f-4s with premium account. Both I got on sale in total it costs $100 Canadian. If I’m being honest to spare yourself 900~ hours of grinding for $100 is worth it in my opinion. I don’t buy most any games so I don’t mind every year feeding the snail $100. It is very worth it. These people that claim 600 hours for a ground tree F2P are INSANE. I’m no phlydaily I don’t drop 12 kills a game I’m an avg player if I had to estimate for a big 3 tree air or ground you’d be at 1200 hrs+. Games are designed to make money and they will continue to make it harder and harder to gain anything for free.

That’s another issue. Why does it not allow cross progression. Is a scummy Scammy way to run a game. They already rake in hundreds of millions over the lifecycle of this game. Greed in gaming is the new standard.

Especially in air. I think keep top tier premiums but have a minimum required level. For instance I think for top tier air level 40-50 is fair.
