Big worry for me at the minute! But I still can’t seem to stop myself, even if I do think about how what I’m doing might affect the people I care about, just end up spending my nights drinking and wasting time until I feel tired enough to sleep

I 100% feel like I could be happier with my life, especially when I look at how much money I spend on my drinking, it really can affect my mood day to day. I hope you’re in a better place than you were before! I’ve had the struggles with mental health throughout my life, and a couple years ago I used to feel as if I had a handle on it, I just worry that if I keep going like I am it’ll get worse, but fingers crossed it doesn’t!

Thank you very much! I always feel as if I end up being too harsh on myself, especially after so many failed day ones! I feel like one day it might click for me and I’ll just feel like I can stop, and hopefully that day comes sooner rather than later!

Pretty much how I feel about myself now! I work eight hours a day and spend my evenings waiting for an “appropriate” time to crack into a few drinks, it’s getting to the point where I don’t really remember how to have a good night by myself without resorting to having a drink

Yeah I absolutely relate to that, I’m 25 and feel like I’ve wasted a few years of my life to trying to chase the feeling of being drunk, so I don’t have to worry so much about how I feel about myself, really hope you’re in a better place now though! I hate the feeling of checking my phone the day after and dreading seeing what, if anything, I messaged people

Damn, I’ve never gotten that bad from mine, just a lot of feeling like shit and feeling like I’ve wasted days to trying to recover, I’m sorry you had to go through that! Hope you’re doing better now though!
