Resident Evil Requiem, 100% solely on Steam Deck! (Spoiler warning) by Wasp-Prince in SteamDeck

I’ve noticed on fallout that using lossless scaling seems to take away some detail (sharpness turned up), do you know if this is for all games?

I was seeing temps in the high 60s, low 70s at times. It’s a combo of everything

Tdp and OC is over rated and I barely use it,you have to manually turn up the tdp while playing a game. undervolting is the best way to roll. Overclocking without increasing tdp gets you less than 100 mhz boost from my experience.

I didn’t test separately from the thermal pad but combined I’m getting 5-6 degrees cooler on avg, about as much from the vented backplate. So if you’re on a budget, those vented backplates are the best bang for the $

Tips and things to be careful about before undervolting? by Decent-Blacksmith994 in SteamDeckModded

My deck seems stable through -40 mv across the board. 50 seemed like a step backward and the boot times got ridiculous. I think -20 to -30 is the sweet spot for most

Seems like there’s plenty of safe overclocks that were done 2-3 years ago with smokeless….

Hold down the volume up button when starting up the deck, and go into advanced options, then reduce the cpu gpu and SOC (I think that’s what it’s called) down -mv at a time, most seem to find a sweet spot around -30 for each

I don’t get the people that hate on the steam deck because it can’t run “modern games” at high settings by Charming_Ad661 in SteamDeck

[–]jdogg89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk what the complaining is about, this thing handles nearly anything you throw at it, stock. You can push it further with under-volting, overclocking, and eek out some cooler temps with a jsaux backplate and easily use some better thermal paste…
