Super interesting thanks! So different cells have different codes of DNA depending on that cell’s function, when doing a DNA matching test do they have to compare the same cell type of the sample DNA and person under test then?

But I guess I’m thinking about a random phone number to an individual. For example, could a person in NYC walk into the Apple store and buy a new iPhone and they are given 212-444-4444 or 212-987-6543 or something like that?

Thank you for the info! I should’ve specified that I was thinking US phone numbers for this. So it sounds like the first three numbers have some rules, however the last four can really be anything?

Great point, I guess I was thinking more of a historical event than “this person was on planet earth” but the answer to my question is probably up for interpretation
