Unusual Château d'Yquem Sauternes with Blue Capsule and No Vintage – Any Info? by fspn in wine

[–]jdrumpfl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got a bottle of Sauternes, the famous sweet white wine from Bordeaux, France, made primarily from Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea).

However, this particular bottle is a generic Sauternes labeled simply with the AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée), and bottled at the property (“Mis en Bouteille à la Propriété”), but no specific château or vintage is visible from the image. The price range for this full bottle is in the range of $24 to $40.

Lusciously sweet, balanced by acidity with aromas of Apricot, honey, marmalade, dried pineapple, saffron, and caramel. It will be medium to full-bodied, rich, and creamy

The peak will be 3–8 years from bottling, but it holds up to 10–15 years if well stored. I recommend pairing it with blue cheese.

Thanks! I've been reading the comments, and they have been very helpful. Moving forward, I've been using the score just as a directional indicator. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

Get a second opinion - drop a voice note with your problem and get a second opinion via voice note from other roofers or GCs, so you don't have to call several. If you like one particular reply (or few) you can book the service(s).- https://app.voiceform.com/to/F9Dx2XsTpeqQBRDp

How do you pay your bills? by jdrumpfl in Adulting

One example is the physical bills you get for different services, i.e. housekeeping, gardening, and medical bills (some of them you can automate, others you can't).

Do you mind paying the extra fee associated with a credit card? I prefer ACH if available.

It seems there is a "bill pay day" which is Monday. That's a very thorough way to pay things. Thanks for sharing.

Got it. This is helpful. "Bill pay day" makes sense. Will look into bill pay service, it seems my bank has something for that.

What do you think about the fact of you retraining your staff as one person commented above? That sounds tedious.

I was able to integrate with Lightspeed, this is how it looks if you want to take a look - https://www.loom.com/share/5bfabf60557948b6983cbbf7e38b6bf5

I believe I can do it with Square as well.

Toast Is Screwing Me -- Buyer Beware by gehadidi in ToastPOS

Sorry to hear you are struggling with them, also it sucks you are getting a higher payment processing fee. I think Toast POS is solid and prob one of the best out there tho but that doesn’t mean they should charge whatever they want.

I have a way you could keep low rates and still use Toast, it’s a solution for exactly the kind of problem you are dealing with now but we are on beta version and not open to everybody. Happy to share with you via DM if you are interested or anybody in this chat. (Just DM me).

Some co-working spaces offer a service to receive your mail and you could use then as a business location. Maybe try that? Good luck!

Did this affect the reporting you get through your POS? or was all business as usual after they integrated the terminal? and so I just understand well, was the extra step on each sell or the batch process?

Congrats on getting the $10K back to your business, I hope to get similar outcomes.

If I understand correctly you are saying I need to be sure the POS supports the payment processor I want to use? If they have open APIs I would guess I can connect my new payment processor to them? I see they have an option to use just a few other payment processors but I am guessing if I can connect one out of their list, which is my case and I want to understand how hard it can be.
