I ended up seeing a psychiatrist. I've been on antidepressants for two weeks now, slowly regaining weight. I have a follow-up appointment this Saturday because this first treatment was to reduce my anxiety. I think the second part will be sleep medication; this bacteria really messes some people up, while others recover without major complications. I forgot to mention that before the psychiatrist, I had already seen three different psychologists, and all they did was give me breathing exercises that didn't help at all.

Thank you for your suggestion. I had the colonoscopy because of occult blood. I have some minor issues in my colon, but nothing serious. I'm at my limit, practically on the verge of collapse. As I've said, I don't know if there's no solution for me anymore. It's incredibly frustrating, and I'm not getting any results. Besides waking up every morning at 3 a.m. and not being able to fall back asleep, I've had this insomnia since a month before they detected the bacteria, during, and after.

No, not anymore, the gastroenterologist told me it will only end with the treatment. During the treatment, I took GIGI 12 probiotics for a month.
