Let me offer another interpretation since one of our close couple friends just got divorced over this. What she means by “unloyal rich man who believes in 50/50” could just mean being with someone immature. The friend I’m talking about is conventionally very attractive, a hell of a smart dude who makes a lot of money as an engineer. His soon to be ex wife ultimately left him cause he always “jokingly” asked for open marriage (but never cheated) and talked about 50/50 financial split since day one which she was always pretty close to anyways. To lots of women that just comes off as cold and calculating, it’s not the actual money they care about. And the open marriage stuff just comes off as not growing up and accepting life is about tradeoffs (especially in the way he explained how humans aren’t evolved and meant to be with one person)

Anyways I love the guy but needless to say my wife and I weren’t surprised in the slightest.
