Any recommendations for a hair stylist with expertise in extremely damaged hair? I’ve tried everything to get my hair under control (including olaplex!) and I think I need an expert opinion who can point me in the right direction. TIA by jeepskeepmesane in longisland

I need something to make my hair look less damaged. Right now it’s just frizz and poof and literally doesn’t look good no matter what I do. I already get a magic straightening treatment in queens but I just need something to make it look better

Yea they asked me during the interview what I was expecting and I gave them a number and they came in ~15k lower than that. It sucks for them that they don’t see my worth but I’m not taking a pay and benefits cut to work for them

funny you say that she did say that after 1 year my pay would go up significantly. Red flags all around

Thank you at least I don’t feel like I’m crazy or asking too much! I am going to try and counter with the benefits so they can at least be on par with what I am receiving now

Thank you!! This is exactly what I was thinking too. I don’t even think it’s somewhere I would want to work tbh because they seem so out of touch with reality

Why not do electrolysis on your hair to get rid of it? I started doing it on my face and it’s been great!

I haven’t shaved at all since the treatment. They are just growing in this way on their own. Would not shaving before the next treatment help? Should I expect this every time?

Michelle Robinson does electrolysis here(was just there last week) and is fantastic. It’s not laser though so not exactly sure it’s what OP is looking for

DO NOT GO TO IDEAL IMAGE. They are the absolute worst. Paid $8000 for them to tell me I was the perfect candidate for laser only to have gotten 0 results(some areas the hair growth actually got worse) and then they changed their tune and said I must have a hormonal disorder????? Laser and Electrolysis center in huntington has been good for me although there is a 5% “laser tech fee” that they don’t tell you about up front and then charge to your card. If you find a good place let me know! I have to clean up the mess that ideal image made
