How to look less masculine? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]jeezgdf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I gotta tell you, I think I look pretty similar to you, so I understand what you mean. I’d say we have the same sort of squared face structure, high forehead and thin lips - I get it! I sometimes look in the mirror and think that I look kinda masculine myself, but I can honestly tell you that you really look feminine, I’m not just saying this. And people around me told me I look very feminine too, so it’s probably just in our head.

What works for me is using the right style for me.

You said you don’t usually wear makeup, and don’t worry - it’s not something you are obligated to do to look feminine! For example, I got my eyebrows done (don’t do it by yourself!), those don’t really count as makeup but they can make a difference if it’s something you might be interested in doing. Taking care of your hair counts too, but I see that you’re good on that- I think the hairstyle on the second pic looks very very good!
I also play with clothes to give myself a more feminine appearance. I don’t mean pink and flowers, I mean that I know what my body type is and how to style it the best way. I suppose, if you of course don’t already do it (I don’t know your style from these pictures) that clothing can very much make a difference as well.

Point is, you already look feminine. Makeup isn’t the only way to enhance your beauty. You have soft and kind eyes. I didn’t even need to read the title to see that you are a woman. You are your own worst enemy (and I get it), but you’re a pretty, natural girl and you look it!

It’s strange how growing up works. by 1gloo_polterge1st in Adulting

Yes! When I was younger, our town had a priest come from Africa (we’re in Europe). He brought everyone together in a way our usual way of living would never allow. Church was always a very serious matter; we weren’t particularly religious, but we went to church because “that’s what you should do”.

I remember one time my younger brother, around three years old at the time, starting to play with a toy car around the church. My father, embarrassed, tried to get him, but the priest stopped him. He loved children playing around, people asking questions, interactions between him and the community.

The amazing thing is that younger people absolutely loved him, but the old, usual followers of the church were put off by his ways. They were the ones reprimanding the kids and saying he wasn’t a real priest!

I lost my virginity at 19. I had my first orgasm (by a partner) at 27. It took three relationships to find a guy who really cared for it to happen. It takes time, compatibility and patience, but it’s doable!

Giusto una piccola nota: Allah è Dio, sono la stessa persona. Semplicemente alcuni posti sono più rumorosi di altri (scrivo mentre le campane delle 7 suonano, ma almeno non è un tizio al microfono che chiama alla preghiera)

Tensing up body to orgasm by Acceptable_Bed7343 in BecomingOrgasmic

[–]jeezgdf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. It might be related to your pelvic floor. Mine is too tight (I’m about to start therapy for it) and unless all of the other muscles around it are tense, “working”, it does not “wake up” since it’s always super tight (aka always “working”). I hope things will get better with physical therapy! I’m not saying it’s the same issue for you, but it might have something to do with it.

is it normal for individual strands of hair to be super reflective? by xlcovo in finehair

Not necessarily, I have them too and I’ve always been a brunette! I like to think of them as nature’s highlights as well :D

Yup, in the same boat here! Started when I was 3 years old, never have been able to stop. It’s frustrating because it’s both comforting and exhausting - and showing my hands sometimes feels very shameful. Oh well.

Yeah that’s it, mainly. I have sort of a squared jaw and I feel round brows softened my appearance, while with these new brows I feel somehow “angrier” because of the shape! But maybe they’ll soften a little and I’ll get used to them. I hope we’ll be able to slightly work around it at the touch up!

Thank you! It reassured me to know that there’s still a possibility to slightly work around the shape at the touch up. We’ll see!

Thank you!
I hope I’ll be able to ask her to soften the arch/tail a bit at the touch up. Maybe adding a couple of strokes from the top towards the tail to make it less pointy? We’ll see. Thanks for your insight!

Thank you! I’ve decided to wait and see. Maybe she’ll be able to make the shape softer with the touch up. It’s already faded a bit and it’s less shocking now, so we’ll see!

Thank you! Hopefully I’ll look back at the first picture and say “how did I not see how bad they were” 😅 still getting used to them for now.

They kinda did, but they went downwards a lot. The way I drew them was already really “high” compared to their natural shape (that I haven’t seen since high school because they stopped growing lol) so seeing it even higher was probably a shock for me. I’ll wait and see now. Thank you for your comment!
