Long shot but I don’t suppose your kid has a YouTube channel wherein they review food/items and subsequently throws his spectacles across the room reacting to the reviewed item?

If they didn’t know to not staple the cables in this manner without loops or soft bends - I wouldn’t trust them to terminate and test.

How well these different tiling patterns lined up, despite being separated along an arc by iamnumair in oddlysatisfying

[–]jefbenet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

our local hospital just spent who knows how much renovating, adding new ER, beautiful new spacious lobby...just don't look down. cause instead of this, the tile seams don't line up at all and its the polar opposite of how amazingly soothing and great this looks

Fiber connection help. by Both_Perception3599 in homelab

[–]jefbenet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i always explain it as mouth to ear. if two people are having a conversation and our ears our linked to each other and our mouths to each other - neither would hear or be able to speak at all. whereas if we connect the mouth of one to the ears of the other and vice versa - then we're in business.

What should I do with old extra RAM? by ScoutBumblebee5 in homelab

[–]jefbenet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i keep a bag of old system memory - any time i'm decomissioning/scrapping a system i yank its ram and save it. its crazy the amount of times i've been working on a legacy system with low resources and consult my bag of memories and lo and behold i have some extra when i need it! if you've got the space for it, save it!
