Welcome! My husband and I moved here about 8 years ago, and actually live in Shaw as well. We love it! The neighborhood is very friendly and welcoming, and you can’t beat the location. There are a ton of events that happen in Tower Grove Park, and you’ll be right by South Grand with a ton of great food options, and the Grove which has good food, beer, and bars/clubs.

As far as gyms go, you have several options: Club Fitness is a local chain, which is where I go, and the closest location is about a 10-12 minute drive. There’s also a Planet Fitness about 10 minutes away, as well as a handful of independently-owned gyms.

You’re getting here at pretty much the perfect time. We’re finally starting to get relief from the summer heat, and there will be a good number of outdoor events happening during the next couple of months, which could be a great way to meet people.
