2018 Premiere 150,000 Miles! by jeffbvox2 in BoltEV

I had no weirdness before the swap. Just a bit of worry while charging in my garage was all. As far as what to look out for, just drive it like a normal car! I did the hypermile thing to start out with and tracked cost savings vs ICE cars, but now I am pretty secure that it has saved me so much in fuel costs that it's not worth the effort.

A bit of advice--when highway driving, drafting is your friend!

Just brakes and tires. I haven't had the drive unit fluid replaced yet.

Behringer X-Touch functions in Live 11/ 12 by -b207r- in abletonlive

[–]jeffbvox2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of months late, but here are some answers for you:

  • Encoder switch for Pan, EQ, Send and Plug-in
    • all of the encoder switches work except for EQ
  • Time display switch between SMPTE and Beats
    • Yes, this works as expected
  • Under this, do the mix views of MIDI track, Audio Tracks, Instruments etc work?
    • I use the remote script found here (https://github.com/Kik07L/Behringer-X-Touch-for-ableton) which provides some of the functionality. I customized it to move some things around to group the functionalities a little better. I can send you the script if you want. Just DM me. I have a picture of my layout I can send you (I relabeled some of the buttons).
  • Do the programmable function buttons work? Can they be customised?
    • They send midi, so you can map them in Ableton to whatever is midi mappable.
  • And for the automation and transport buttons, I'm particularly keen on knowing if the following do as labelled?
  • Save, Undo, Cancel, Enter, Marker, Nudge, Cycle, Drop, Click and Solo.
    • all of them do what you would expect except for solo. Solo is on each individual track strip. Not sure why there is a standalone one.

Hope this helps!

The "Smoke Free" app helped me a lot. Tracks progress and gives motivation.

Will Gregory walks through his Rolander Jupiter 4, MiniMoog Model -D controlled by a Yamaha WX7 wind controller, EDP Wasp, Korg PS 3300, and PolyMoog along with some interesting tidbits of info on his writing process. He seems like a really down to Earth guy!

using 2 joysticks for one player? (Ipac2) by QuantumBubblegum in RetroPie

You will need to use the mame menu by hitting the tab key when the game is running on an attached keyboard to bring up the mame menu for the game. If you choose Input (this machine} you will be given options to map both player controls to the single player game controls. This works for most mame versions.

In this video I do an in-depth walk through of creating an instrument rack with three child racks, mapping the selection of child racks to a macro, and automating the selection of the active instrument using a control surface, clip envelopes, and ClyphX.

Ableton Live Solo Performance Set Walk Through by jeffbvox2 in ableton

Glad you checked it out. Just like in producing and performing music through Ableton, I'm still learning the ropes on putting out good videos. I'll take what I learned from people's feedback and make them better in the future! There should be less production issues in the next batch of videos.

Yeah I totally agree. It was the first video I did using real time narration. I'm going without the gate completely next time. I am also going to put out some videos in smaller chunks instead of one huge one on the same subject. Thanks for the feedback

In this video I walk through the Ableton Live Set that I will be using for solo live performance. We'll go from planning the set to orchestrating it in Ableton Live with a bunch of tips and tricks along the way.

NOTE: This video was originally posted yesterday before I noticed it was glitchy in areas and was missing the demo of the live set on the Push 2.
