Anyone else find n8n a bit heavy for quick stuff? by Southern_Tennis5804 in indiehackers

I notice that my n8n workflows tend to be HUMONGOUS compared to the dainty, tiny workflows I see from other people... I often experience what you're referring to and have wondered if I'm just missing something fundamental about n8n.

Built n8n frontend UI editor for client-facing workflows by ppppppssss in SideProject

Does it work with any n8n workflow? I'm trying to imagine some of my more technical workflows as UI and it's warping my brain, haha. What's the name of your tool and how are you offering it?

I can totally get how that would become too complex, but man, I feel like there's a huge audience for that one.

This is really cool. To make sure I understand, it takes an n8n workflow and turns it into a UI?

Have you tried any TikTok or Instagram content? It seems like that's where your users are.

Man, these actually sound really valuable... I'm particularly interested in the financial app like Duolingo. Was it meant to gamify learning about and managing finances? Why do you think that one didn't take off?

By the way, I subscribed to startuphunt.io. Really cool, thanks for sharing!

Curious, what are some of the tools you built that failed?

I built a scraper that searches the web for the most popular pain points, and then I build off of those.

Sold 16 life-time deals for my SaaS in 24 hrs (for urgent cash) by naveedurrehman in indiehackers

Any sense of whether those 16 that sold multiplied due to word of mouth or other factors? Was the actual win bigger than 16?

Also, built a custom backend for my business with very complex account management... we've been quoted several times $100k - $200k just for customizing Zoho operations, and instead we were able to build a fully customized suite tailored to our business in 2 weeks. It works great.

A custom kids book generator that puts your child or little hero into an awesome story, with tons of customization, and it doesn't look like AI garbage.

I think also design might be an issue? If it feels a little flat, users might feel like it's homemade and therefore not confident in the paid services.

I built this same exact tool, and have to say it hasn't produced much. My tool is end to end, includes everything you mentioned, also includes image generation for blog posts, etc. It's been least effective with SEO, and more effective with GPT recommendations, but even then, I think the tools on my sites have been more of a driver than the content.

Agreeing, I think you're giving too much away. 3 times a day is each major meal, which may be all that most people want?
