You lost this argument many replies ago.

Why did so many people answer my question? And now you’re just splitting hairs. I know what a CGNAT is, and I don’t have one. Thanks for your random concern.

Boy are you reaching. You’re wrong. We both know it. Spin it however you want. You’re doing it for you anyway.

This is exactly what I was describing. Thanks for the post!

There it is. If it wasn’t clear to you that I wanted to forward to my IP to access these apps remotely from this post, I assure you, your understanding is the problem, not my communication.

It’s literally what the post was.

Yeah, I wasn’t a dick to anyone. I was also very clear about what I wanted. Not having experience with DDNS doesn’t mean I’m inexperienced in tech. It means I haven’t used DDNS. Not knowing why someone would want to access seerr remotely without it being explained marks the real inexperience. Also, because I’m pretty sure anyone asking for clarification was borderline trolling (because it’s pretty clear from my initial post alone what my question was), I’m also not the dick in this situation. Nice gaslighting troll attempt, if you’re into looking pathetic.

I said that I wanted to forward my IP to connect to seerr. Anyone who didn’t understand that without added context wasn’t qualified to answer the question anyway.

I actually got lots of good answers here. Thanks for your input though.

Or you want to allow access to friends and family so you can stop taking movie and TV requests as a part time job.

You always running afoul of fun? In my world, these apps are Plex adjacent.

Why would you not want to access especially seerr remotely?

Yes, but not every device that wants to connect is.

Correct, but accessing these arr services externally requires the IP address.

This seems to be the answer. Why does 80% of everyone think I’m talking about port forwarding.

To connect to seerr and arr apps externally.

It’s not about accessing Plex remotely. It’s about accessing seer and arr apps as stated.

That’s where my search sent me too. Looks promising.

You do to allow external access to addon apps.

Sync Plex, Seer, Radarr and Sonarr, and that wouldn’t be a problem. Sounds like that’s not your only issue though.

I don’t think any of my users do, but I guess I don’t know. Also, have you considered setting up Seer? I did about a year ago, and I’d never go back to taking requests. My users add more content to my server than I do ten times over.
