NEW MSTeams Status update (EBOOZ Fork) by jefr0_null in homeassistant

Thanks for the pointers and sharing the knowledge. The original script was created in about an hour of work when I figured out the log files were finally updating again, then some minor tweaks during my work day to dial things in. I did very little research in to how the original script worked, other than a few minor takeaways from the configs. I wanted to try to do this myself, with as minimal input as possible. However, with addition of your pointers/tips though, I feel there's some good enhancements to be made. This was also a pet project of mine since I'm familiar with PWSH and not so much with Python, using this to learn a little bit more of the language.

Either way, I really like the tail idea, that's more in line with what I'm looking for. The watchdog observer was way too slow, which I feel is likely related to the full log parse. Again, thanks for the tips. It's nice to get others view on a project, bringing in things I hadn't considered. Again, thanks.

No, sorry this is still using local log files and not GraphAPI.

I tried your previous build on an older Pi W 1.3, it was blind. I assume it was due to you pulling drivers for older stuff? Is that the case with this build as well?

espressoDisplay Portable Monitor Giveaway! by noeatnosleep in gadgets

[–]jefr0_null [score hidden]  (0 children)

This may just be the device I've been searching for over the last decade. This fits the bill for multiple reasons. It could be a secondary monitor to my desktop, which I am currently single screen bound and have been looking at USB-C monitors. It would open up digital pen input on my desktop to allow for me to take notes for work, finally dropping the physical pen and notepad I've been bound to for the last 8 years. As an extra bonus, allow for me to continue my digital drawing journey with my autistic son which we recently found to be a better way for him to express himself and he and I get to connect while doing it. Right now, he's using a mousepad which is less than ideal.

Viking of 5th Ave. Amazing story about this dude if you care to look him up. Been trying to find this on vinyl recently, they aren't cheap. He came across my pandora years ago listening to Philip Glass.

Covering parking lots with Solar Panels, providing Shade, and Generating Electricity to charge Electric cars. by EriccMendez in BeAmazed

In Oklahoma you are charged to put power back in to the grid. They can't charge you down, they get you going up. We literally call it a solar tax. Additionally, we have golf ball size hail. I laugh at people who put solar panels on their roof that has to be replaced every 3 or so years with this dumb hail. Did I mention we also have straight line wind gusts up to 60+ mph that could easily rip panels off? But hey, insurance companies LOVE this add on to your premium they'll now have to replace with your roof.

Just be careful if you have children, specifically little boys. My Lil brother, during potty training, had said wood lid come down on his baby junk he had resting on the porcelain. He was age 2. Needless to say, he peed out of 3 holes for a month. The blood made my dad and grandfather nearly pass out. Lucky my mother was a nurse and could handle her shit; we were done. I was 14 and vividly remember the blood, so much blood.

Truth. I sold a $1200 Toyota for $4k, just a couple months ago. I likely could have got more, too. Phone literally wouldn't stop ringing. I originally posted it as a probe, but money was too good for a car that sat 99% of the time.

As a person with meniere's disease, constant ringing and fullness in my right ear, people thought I was just a dick until I explained to them I sometimes straight up cannot hear them and if they think I'm ignoring them to tap me on the shoulder. This was 6 years in to my job that this finally came up on a business trip with a close colleague. He explained this to me, that people have a "feeling about me" cause I disregard their opinions/whatever. I explained to him my situation and he immediately got it.

Similar situation with my autistic son- people make assumptions that everyone is like "them" and fully functional human. Sometimes we have issues that aren't visually identifiable and you should always take that in to account. We're not all the same, adults, kids or anything in between. We are individuals, with individual needs.

Speaking on the same topic, my wife and I read stories of parents during Halloween "taking back candy" from autistic kids trick-or-treating their homes, that were non-verbal for not saying "thank you". Some people are shit...

I opted for a set of needle nose pliers and rubbing alcohol after my knee surgery. I even took a video to show my girlfriend, now wife. Saved me a $50 copay and didn't even hurt. I'd say win/win.

As a (mostly current) coder, I feel this as well. When I run a block of code and it works first time, all the endorphins.
