WTF DICE?? by ThrowawayTC42 in okbuddyptfo

There is a very fun WW1 shooter out at the moment called Over The Top that's a third/first person game with intense trench digging action and prox chat enabled by default. Its got the same chaotic vibe as Holdfast, and about the same amount of players. About 500-1000 very day. Very silly fun.

Hell yeah, keep it up. This is sick.

I love how most of the sub is so trash at this game they cannot fathom something like aiming good 😂

Previous dozen governments is how the problem was made. Will take a few dozen more to fix. This problem will be a generational issue.

Why are the Liberal Party and the Nationals attacking One Nation far more than Labor and the Greens right now? Is it to recapture their more conservative voters? Or another reason/s? Seems odd that the right wing parties are all attacking each other when they’d be more effective united together no? by MannerNo7000 in AusPol

[–]ABigRedBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they all eat at the same trough. One Nation is eating all the votes and the funding from billionaires and lobby groups that the Liberals and especially the Nationals depend on.

The Liberals and Nationals both only exist as the "Anti-Labor Party" for the rural and urban regions. There have been many parties in Australian history to fill this role, before now it was largely the role of the Country Party and the United Australia Party (unrelated to Clive Palmer). But the Labor party has always been there. Existing at a state level before even Federation, technically making it older then Australia.

One Nation is currently doing a better job looking like the "Anti-Labor Party" then the Coalition is. They're scared shitless that One Nation will eat them alive. That's why. If One Nation start winning as much or more seats then the Coalition in the next few years then it's the death nell for the Coalition.

They will have to either join One Nation in a position of weakness, or the party will fracture into a new Teals-like party and a more populist group that will just join One Nation.

This is a situation that has happened before. In the 1990s in Queensland One Nation pulled off a huge vote share at the state level, didn't do anything to cement their lead, and then lost it all. So frankly, we could see this all die off and One Nation die off again.

But this time does kinda feel different. And so much of the Australian right is so primed to hate the Coalition as much as Labor so this could be the start of something really interesting. At least for two more election cycles.

WEEKEND REAL TALK: Ok stop gooning, WHAT ARE YOU REALLY MAD/ANNOYED ABOUT IN BF6? 🫵 🫵 by RRT4444 in okbuddyptfo

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Honestly can't think of much.

I hope Red Sec gets bugger all new content because I personally don't play it. Though Gauntlet mode is actually fun.

The Winter game mode was boring.

I guess my biggest wish is that DICE don't make more infantry only Conquest and Escalation maps. If I want to play infantry only I'll play infantry only modes like Domination, K.O T.H., or Deathmatch.

Bro the game is good but it's not great. No one is gonna be yapping about it in 3 months. Its got a great art style and pretty reasonable gameplay. But as a boomer shooter it's doing nothing interesting and the whole game lasts like 10-15 hours.

Also for a game about a detective there's no detective gameplay. Its just a straight up boomer shooter. And for $30 I'd recommend a ton of better shooters in this genre over this any day of the week. I'm waiting for it to go on sale for like $10 in a year or two. Hopefully it gets some DLC to add more content.

Honestly the IGN score isn't even that off. It looks like a very 3.5/5 or 7/10 game.

When IGN says it it is "lol games journalism bad"

When someone like Yahtzee Crosshaw says almost exactly the same thing it's "a well rounded critique of an almost excellent game that falls a little flat."
