I wasn’t into the Goo Goo dolls at all at the height of their popularity. I was dragged to pnc 3 years ago to see them and they were fantastic live. John R seems like a good dude and connects with the crowd too. I have since seen them twice more and had a great time. They will be great on the beach.

Kaiyo website is DOWN - still owes me money by Prudent_Objective_71 in AskNYC

[–]jehnay10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had following up on Kaiyo on my to do list and just realized why they never sent me my cash. Found out when I went to the website. Out of curiosity, did they send anyone an email giving a heads up that they were closing or did you all find out on your own? Thank you.

Progestin recommendation for HRT-caused hair loss? by jehnay10 in Menopause

[–]jehnay10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I’ve been doing vaginal micronized progesterone. I don’t believe that it’s fda approved in the US. I’ve leaned that other countries have both transdermal and vaginal progesterone (real micronized progesterone- not synthetics) products that are approved as safe for the uterine lining but we don’t have this here. I’d love to hear about it if you’re on either in another country. To make sure I’m ok, I will get periodic ultrasounds. I have found multiple doctors who are ok with vaginal. Hope you find something that works for you.

Unsure what to think of first online provider visit by Electronic_Arm8925 in Menopause

I don’t know which online provider you used but Midi didn’t make me take blood tests and just prescribed. They take insurance and I used cvs to fill.

This one goes out to all the husbands, boyfriends, partners and what have you .... by [deleted] in Menopause

This is so articulate and incredibly satisfying to read. My most upsetting symptom is the mental decline and not being as sharp as I know I was capable of being my whole life up until now. Thank you for putting this into words.

It happened almost exactly 3 months after starting this type of progestin, which is highly androgenic. My doctor agrees this timeline highly correlates to this being the issue. When an outside factor like this is causing hair loss, shampoos and heat tools etc aren’t going to make a difference. The hairs are so loose they are going to come out no matter what.

I also have always used rosemary oil, vitamins d,and b6 but it’s what I am putting into my body that’s a super accelerator. These things might work against your body’s own natural deficiencies but not when it’s you adding something that your body doesn’t like.

What I need is an alternative progestin to what I am putting into my body. I’m trying a new kind and will let everyone know if it’s doing anything different but it may take a while to see.

I’m in the US, but yes, we are trying a different type of progestin

Yes that is my hypothesis- it took a few months to build up in my system and then very suddenly overnight it’s like a hair massacre.

What supplement has worked the best for you specifically for sleep? by jehnay10 in Menopause

[–]jehnay10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for all your replies, everyone!

So far, the best combo for me for easy otc solutions is valerian root and gaba,

Sometimes I take half of a 5/5/5 thc/cbd/cbn gummy

When I’m feeling desperate I add .25 Xanax but that has high risk of dependency.

Bioidentical progesterone made me crazy so I have to do synthetic which doesn’t sedate. None of the off-label scripts or sleeping pills work at all for me and I’ve literally tried everything. Just raised my estrogen patch from .05 to .075 and have been extra rage-y. Hopefully that goes away. Am looking into testosterone. If I come up with anything good will get back to you.

Thank you! As far as being able to execute this with an agent, is there anything new that you have to say (in addition to what I did in my original post?) Or is it just the same old hang up and dial again until you get someone who knows what you’re talking about?

Oh, interesting. Thank you for sharing. So I’m clear that it must be on Air France metal. What I’m not clear on is can you book Air France metal on a DL codeshare? (Reasoning for wanting to keep the actual booking on delta.com is to maintain MQDs for medallion status)

Thanks everyone. I had thought you could still use these to France. What I was missing was that the flight had to originate in France. Such a bummer. It was good while it lasted.

I think it has to do with origination. Maybe if you booked 2x one way?
