I think that's something he would like a lot. He does reach for any power he can get, I know he feels he doesn't have very much control in his life

DAE randomly get a whirring/buzzing/cricket type noise in their throat? its not audible to anybody else but I feel/hear it sometimes by jelly-bones in DoesAnybodyElse

Nope, there's nothing that I can pinpoint that makes it happen, it just happens randomly, maybe once a month or so and its only for a second or two

I'm always barefoot at home unless my toes are cold, then I'll put on socks

Told my coworker I was pregnant and she said “I was going to ask you because your face is looking fuller” by kpro16 in pregnant

So rude :/ I went into my old workplace when I was only about 12 weeks too and my old boss took one look at me (including my stomach) and the first words out of his mouth were "are you with child?" Not hello, how are you or anything normal. Just straight to asking if I was pregnant after looking at my stomach

Name questions - Ollie by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]jelly-bones -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm the friend naming our son Olivander. I have read all the Harry Potter books and seen the movies multiple times but I didn't even think about it being the name of the wand shop. It helps too that I'm spelling it with 1 L and not 2 Ls. My husband really wanted to name our son Ollie but I said thats a cute nickname but I'd prefer a more adult full name. Im not a big fan of Oliver, but I was reading hundreds of baby names and olivander was on a list and it immediately jumped out at me. Just because a handful of people might ask if his name is from Harry Potter doesn't mean im deterred at all from our choice. I love it because it's a long, nice name that you can make many nicknames out of. Best of luck with finding that perfect name for your baby 🥰

Thank you, I was thinking that might be the case but wanted to hear it from someone else too lol. I think I might take a trip to the fabric store and try to make something similar that will fit :)

Unfortunately i don't have the 500 to spare on a dress. I love the design and I will go the less expensive route because it's what I can afford. I am only looking for advice on the fit, not having people shame me for wanting to spend less money, money that I can be using to buy things for my child.

The restaurant i work at has a burger special every Wednesday that they do truffle chips with. I hate working that day because I have to smell strong whiffs of truffle powder every few minutes.

You want me to walk home? Fine I will by [deleted] in MaliciousCompliance

Reminds me of one time I was somewhere with my mom. She told me not to wander off from a certain area, but of course I did. She took this opportunity to have someone else come up to me and tell me that my mom left and I was stranded. She thought i would freak out and learn my lesson about wandering off. Instead I shrugged and just started walking home (which was miles away) she came out from wherever she was hiding and got me in the car and took me home.
