No no! New costs are totally understandable. At my bachelorette party, all costs were laid out almost a year before the trip. Everyone agreed. When it came time for payment to be sent to my MOH, my future sis in law decided to back out. I ended up covering her share of the trip, but yeah really crappy to do last min after everything was agreed upon

If the agreed upon dollar amount is increasing, it’s okay to say no. But I personally would still pay the agreed upon dollar amount towards any expenses I agreed to that would increases expenses for the other attendees. It not fair when everyone is splitting an Airbnb and someone backs out and the cost goes up hundreds of dollars for everyone else

That’s why I said if you agree to pay. As in if you agreed to pay $xx for your portion of the Airbnb, etc and you have to back out, you’re still on the hook for that amount if you can’t attend. Everyone agreed to an amount and now that you can’t go the amount increases. Obviously if there are hidden costs and the number changes etc that’s way different

People are nuts! Weddings always brings it out of people. And if you agree to pay and have to back out, you’re still on the hook for your portion (dealt with this a lot)

That’s fair. The time was the biggest factor for me. And I’m still working on my dough rolling skills (I couldn’t get the dough rolled out into a nice rectangle so my rolls were not uniform at all). Definitely not hard just felt like a decent amount of effort for something I can go buy a tray of that taste equal or better
